About Ginevra
Make room for the life you mean to live.
I write about women who are mid-becoming — women with full calendars, old griefs, good shoes, complicated families, and enough desire left to surprise themselves.
My stories begin with love, but they rarely stop there. I am interested in the map of a life: the road trip that changes your mind, the house that knows your name, the friend who tells you the truth, the Black women who make a way where there was not one before.
When I am not writing, I am usually painting at the same big wooden desk, listening to something with a good bass line, or putting flowers in a jar that used to hold jam.
What I return to
The stories under the story.
Love as a verb
The choosing, repairing, laughing, and staying that make a love story feel earned.
A wider world
Roads, coastlines, gardens, and the brave decision to see what is past the next bend.
Black women’s lives
Our tenderness, humor, ambition, contradictions, and full interior weather.
Refusing smallness
The quiet, daily work of asking for more and believing the answer might be yes.
